After the first pair of teeth are disengaged from the engagement, the intermediate gear teeth are separately engaged (as shown in Fig. 6e), and the stress at the meshing position is significantly increased compared to the double-toothed engagement state. When the latter pair of teeth enters the meshing (Fig. 6f), the stress at the intermediate gear teeth is reduced. When the teeth are engaged and engaged, the tooth base is changed due to the elastic deformation, causing the meshing interference and the meshing impact, and the intermediate gear teeth will generate a large stress, as shown in Figs. 6a and 6d.
At the same time, the tooth root stress change of the pair of gear teeth during the whole process of gear toothing can be obtained by calculation, which is the VonMises stress variation curve of the tooth root of the intermediate gear of the driving gear 1 during the engagement. It can be seen from the figure that as the meshing point moves toward the tooth tip, the root stress generally increases as the bending moment of the tooth increases, and fluctuates with the alternating change of the meshing state of the single tooth pair and the double tooth pair. During the tooth exiting engagement, the root stress is rapidly reduced.
